To help you with your chocolate cravings, try a tall glass of chocolate skim milk after dinner or before bed. It's a great source of protein, and while at first it may not satisfy, it actually is quite filling and tasty, imo. It's an excellent post-workout recovery food, too.

Also, in moderation, dark chocolate is good for you.

Typos, not typo's. Nobody cares about this stuff as much as I do. I feel so alone.

If you work for a publisher, everyone will love you for all the typos you catch

Back to the topic...

OP - can you indulge any other way - maybe one of those 100 calorie snack packs instead?

Also, what do you love more? Rewarding yourself more at the end of the day or feeling the sense of accomplishment when you see the scale go down when you do lose weight?

You know, I am always hungry before class. After class my appetite is gone...and when it comes back I don't feel like eating that much.

Just because you notice an error does not mean you need to highlight it by correcting someone else on a public message board. Consider just noting the error to yourself and letting the discussion continue.

Other thing I am still trying to learn (and Weight Watchers makes you learn) stop using food/drink as a reward. I'm always dying for a cookie/brownie after the kids go to bed, it's been a long day, etc. WW says to break that thought process that hard work/reward = food. Reward yourself with a manicure, new book, a walk, clothes, you get the idea.

A derivative question based on this discussion: what other wind down/reward things have people found to substitute for that nightly glass of wine? I know a PP exercises so she can do it, but my exercise is sporadic (2-3 times/week instead of the 5 I want), so I am trying to really cut calories right now.

I have been seeing a nutritionist, and on the chocolate thing she recommended either the 60-calorie jello pudding sugar free packs or the healthy choice fudgesicles. I bought both.

Any suggestions to sub for a nice glass of red wine? I have been thinking about herbal teas but have yet to hit on the perfect one.

OP here- I had lost 3.5 lbs. But gained one back this week. I didn't work out today, and ate a piece of Papa Johns pizza last night-it was yummi. Oops I spelled that wrong! Thanks for your inspiration everyone!

OP, you are doing great. I'm the PP who works with a nutritionist. She says if you make it about being perfect you'll never survive and will give up. I've lost about 3 lbs, too, but had a really crappy day, so I just ate a Milky Way (on the theory that it was 10 calories less than the Snickers I really wanted). Tomorrow is another day...

Thank you so much PP. I think I really do make it about being perfect a lot. We are about to go on vacation for a week and I have been stressing. DO I just give in and have a great time? OR try to eat right? Thanks again, these tips and kind words keep me going!
