Total BS. It's impossible to talk to somebody who puts words into my mouth. Go away. And take that self-righteousness and shove it. I've lived overseas and I have many Muslim friends. You're an a$$ for assuming you know anything about me or the other posters here. |
+1 We should also outlaw sexual intercourse. We have evidence that women are being raped daily, hourly by men in this country, being forced by men in this country to copulate, so from now on, for security reasons and for the wellbeing of all women in the world, we have to ban sexual intercourse. Every 107 seconds, a woman in America is being sexually assaulted. Given all these facts, we can only agree that those women who enjoy this act, are clearly brainwashed into thinking that it is good for them , we need to liberate them! |
Don't be stupid. People are trying to have an adult discussion here. |
Still waiting, Muslima. Time is a’wastin’. |
This is how women used the dress in Kabul, Afghanistan, in the 1970s

You're so cute when you're angry. I'll go away when I see fit. That makes you angry. It also makes me chuckle. |
If a person grows up in a country with certain laws that are supposed to be followed, whether for dress, behavior, taxes, etc., then we can't say a person has a choice--except to break the law. |
Wow. You don't just twist peoples' words, you don't just practice bogus mind-reading powers about peoples' motives... you also pretend to yourself that people care enough about you to be irritated by you. I think I'll just ignore you. Then you won't be able to keep pretending that you're all-seeing and all-powerful. Oh dear. |
Not grows up, lives. Women who live in France and in the West in general clearly aren't under any obligation to cover their faces (or indeed any part of their bodies except the naughtiest bits). To me, this says a woman who covers her face in the West has made a choice to do so. |
Looks.like they were actually happy... ( Afghanistan, 70s) |
You took a picture of women from the educated urban class and swallowed the line that the entire country looked that way. Women in rural Afghanistan routinely covered. So did women in Iran outside of educated urban class. |
Bingo! |
So you're point is, let's make all women dress like rural and/or uneducated women? One of my best friends growing up was Iranian, they fled. Her family was upper middle class, her mother and father both had good jobs. They were very sad about what had happened to their country. |
So, after Islam was practiced for over 1000 years in Afghanistan, women were forced to dress a certain way but Islam is to blame? Good thought process, good throughout process!! People got it wrong for over 1000 years.... |
Could you explain a little more? This makes no sense, from any point of view. Sounds like you're trying to be sarcastic about Islam requiring women to veil for 1000 years in Afghanistan. But you can't mean that, can you? |
