OP, time to chill |
And, then they go up only one floor. Yes, this is annoying. But, it's one of those things that you have to live with. |
Oh myyyy, somebody needs a hobbbbbby! |
Related: at my metro station every morning I see people do full on sprints to the elevator -- "Hold that elevator" -- when there are escalators available and working. |
I do this all the time. I waited for the elevator, sometimes for-everrrrrrr and I am the bad guy because some self-important jerk decides it's ok to hold me up? For those that don't think it is a problem, good for you, but for those that get irritated - I don't blame you a bit. If I see a door closing, I wait for the next one. I don't try and stop it mid-close. This shit happens on the metro too. |
Why doesn't the person rushing to get on the elevator as the doors are closing just wait for the next one? Damn Democrats. |
This really annoyed me when I moved to DC, how people would look you right in the eye and not hold the elevator door for you. It made me sad, the rudeness. Why not hold the door? It's the nice thing to do. |
Oh I despise them. I would rather wait and take my own elevator than have someone "politely" hold the door so i can shove on a crowded smelly elevator. |
It's also the considerate thing to wait ffor the next elevator so as not to inconvenience other people. I will confess, I've been known to "accidentally" hit the door close button. I've also heard that if you keep holding the "door close" button, the elevator won't stop at other floors....instant express elevator! |
+1 |
yeah, what an inconvenience. ![]() That express elevator shit isn't true. |
No. I only mind when people have stinky breath, BO or farts.
Other than that what is 15 seconds more in the elevator? |
Lol!!!!! |
The point is, why wouldn't the person just wait, rather than stick their arm in the door?
To me, the person sticking their arm in is the rude one - they are the one unwilling to wait 15 seconds for the next elevator. I let the door close and wait for the next one all the time. Would much rather ride alone if possible. |
No, but I do hate people who frantically push the Door Close button when they see someone else approaching the elevator. And I hate people (they are usually all the same) who see another person coming, either pretend not to see them or look them straight in the eye, and refuse to hold the elevator. That is way ruder. Both a$$Holes, just different kinds of a$$Holes. |
