In my house,we have a rule were drugs of ANY kind are not allowed on our property.I am not trying to make you do this, and I can see what the situation is. It sounds to me like your daughter is a beutiful girl, and she does good in school. I would suggest to sit her down and ask her for the REAL truth,and being honest will make her punishment less worse. Tell her that it is ok to talk to her OWN Mother. But also tell her not to get pulled into drugs and she needs to respect her body and mother.

Lots of kids with top report card grades and sports success, get a free pass to drink and do drugs, both by their parents and their school. Not easily believable, but so very true.

However it's also highly likely that if you only faintly smelled smoke then she wasn't the one doing it.
