"I prefer it to riding Metro." OMG. That's an absurd analogy. |
Prius seems to be the car for the guy who is 40 years old and never owned a car before. |
These are powerful German cars that just can't be driven in the U.S. the way they were designed to be driven. It's a waste, frankly. |
At least the BMW and Audi drivers are trying to drive their cars the way they were designed. The way Mercedes drivers drive, you wonder why they bothered - they could drive a Camry just as slowly and rudely. Except for the label that says, "Hey, I paid a lot of money for this!" |
I think that making a blanket statement about any group is not right. Like a PP said, alot of drivers are terrible but you may only notice cars sometimes when it is a nice car. |
Well, all of MoCo drivers have an entities net mentality. The Mercedes drivers take that to an even higher level. I saw one cut off an ambulance with its sirens on once. The height of self-centeredness. |
*entitlement mentality. |
BMW and Mercedes drivers suck. Never notice Lexus drivers b/c they generally don't drive like morons. |
. It's not an analogy. It's a comparison of two modes of transportation. |
So what if you had a '97 Camry that needed its shock absorbers replaced? Would you "prefer it to riding Metro"? |
when maserati ghibli starts being sold, you are going to see a TON of them in DC. |
I had a Lexus before a M-B, and they were both great cars, but other people seem to pay a lot more attention to the latter. That wasn't why I bought it, and I was honestly surprised by how often people let me know in public that they like it. No one ever said anything to me about my Lexus, which was fine with me as well. |
It would be a closer call. Thanks for asking. |
+1. Lexuses are ubiquitous. |
I find that an unusually large percentage of those driving that stupid small Lexus SUV (essentially a taller, pricier Camry) do indeed drive like morons. |
