Question about Target pharmacy - was I flagged??

Anonymous
I picked up my birth control pills this afternoon, about a week earlier than usual, since I'll be out of town all next week. My pharmacy label with my name, address, etc was marked with a code "Yellow." What does that mean??

I have no other prescriptions, and the BC pill isn't something people generally abuse. I don't understand why I'd be marked "yellow," yet it seems like a really odd marking for a regular prescription. Anyone know what this means at Target?

I'd think in terms of red yellow green. Red means stat. Yellow means pressing but not urgent and green means whenever (fill times). Or could be a till number/time of day/pay category/whatever

U sound a lil paranoid.

What a strange question.

Lay off the meth honey.

Paranoid much? Unless you are lying and you are picking up a narcotic but are worried people won't give you good advice.

What are you thinking it could be, OP? Are you concerned you're being tracked/watched? Do you get that feeling often?

Target pharmacy puts a colored ring on all prescription bottles, and individuals consistently get the same color ring. The idea is that family members who all go to Target can tell at a glance whose pill bottle is whose. (My color is green, my husband's is blue, older son is red...) My guess is that they plan to assign you the color yellow for your prescriptions.

The op is not a paranoid freak for thinking this. If you thought someone was "flagging" you then you would probably feel the same.

Yeah, but I'd never think I was being flagged for having "yellow" written on my BCP. That's what is paranoid. Plus, they are going to flag the person in the system, not on their prescription so they know they are being tagged and take their prescription to a different chain.

OP here. Not paranoid, not on meth, not flipping out - just curious, as I don't think I've seen "yellow" written on my label before. Thanks for the helpful answers from a couple of you.

You are not paranoid, and OP, thank you for posting. I would have never known about these colors for family members if you hadn't posted. Thank you.

Some pharmacies assign different colors for different family members. Sounds like that to me.
