Way to go OP for nursing/pumping so long! ![]() |
I agree with 12:38 just to explain what you were doing and say you'll put a note on the door next time or use the lactation room. Seems you should clear the air since he knows he walked in on something but doesn't know what... You will probably both be relieved! And it might be educational for him! ![]() |
As a current pumper, I think you should definitely explain what the issue was because otherwise he'll wonder what you were REALLY doing.
Of course, I'm not to secretive myself. I put a sign on my door three times a day that says "PUMPING, DO NOT ENTER" and very loudly declare the pump when I fly. In fact, when a screener told me he might have to confiscate my cold pack because I didn't have any milk in the bottles (was going to pump AFTER security), I was ready to announce "I'll fill the bottles right now." But I didn't have to, luckily. ![]() |
I say talk about it. Given the the officemate is 22 years old, he might think that you were using a vibrator. Why else the uncomfortable silence. |
I would just tell him... make it seem like nothing... hopefully he will buy it. Maybe he will even agree to be out of the room when you are pumping and you guys can agree on a time so that you can pump in the office. He might be 22, but alot of guys have older sisters. My brother would probably just say, Ok... and then not another word. Just make sure the pump doesn't go missing... hopefully he won't confuse it for a beer bong![]() |
