Most of the changes have already mentioned. Except maybe this:
we moved the disposal switch from the far corner of the wall to the cabinet under the sink. |
Not the PP, but something like this maybe? http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10009293&N=&Ntt=door |
Hi, I'm the poster. I tried to find a picture before I posted, but couldn't. I think I bought it at Target. I think it was advertised as a spice rack, but it's about the size of the door. It is not hooked over the door, just screwed in at top and bottom. Something like this (but mine doesn't have adjustable shelves, but that might be better): http://www.target.com/p/closetmaid-8-tier-adjustable-door-rack/-/A-13680756 |
Awesome, thank you! (and to the PP with the other suggestion as well!) |
| A lock on my basement man cave door to keep the wife out. Cheap and life changing!! |
| Bathroom vent timed switch. Can set for 5, 10, 20 min. after which automatically turns off. |
| Replaced all wire and plastic hangers with wood. Keeps me from overstuffing my closets with things I don't need. |
| Borrowed a power washer. So simple and made our porch and slate patio look SO much better! |
| Great paint job and crown molding! |
I hope you are not devoting yourself to Onanism. |

1) installed paper towel holder on wall next to guest bathroom sink. We use a towel there, but if guests come over, we use the paper towels. Sanitary.
2) Bought this sunrise alarm clock--my DD went from a routine of having to be yelled at to get out of bed to getting up and dressed on her own the very first day! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005LB9U04/ref=pe_175190_21431760_cs_sce_dp_1 3) ok more expensive but worth it: Installed pocket doors to cut the light and noise. Installed one at the base of the stairs so when kids go to bed, we can use the downstairs without trying to be quiet all the time. |

Replaced trash compactor that never worked with a slide-out trash can drawer in stainless steel. So much better!
Ceiling fans. We run the AC so much less. |
| Bought one of those Ikea shoe cabinets for the living room. It holds a TON of shoes. And it is slim and looks like a closed bookcase. Very nice. I really wanted a mudroom, but that shoe cabinet mixed with a coat rack and on-the-wall hooks for the kids backpacks is all I really needed. Just saved myself tens of thousands of dollars! |
| love this thread - have taken many notes for our new house! |
Update: totally installed a unit like this in some dead space in our new house's kitchen pantry. Awesome! |
