Tarte makes awesome lip stains. Not drying, not thick and a touch minty. |
I have the one in Moody, but it doesn't last very long- almost seems to me like it has the same staying power as a regular lipstick? Have you found that to be true as well, PP? |
For the stained look I love Guava Stain by Clinique, Burt's Bees lip shimmer in rhubarb, and Stainiac from theBalm |
I use the cover girl ones all the time -- they stay on for me fine. Use chapstick on top if lips are dry. Don't like the look of shiny gloss and dh hates lipstick that rubs off on him. This is my perfect solution for $9 at CVS. |
Agree, Vincent Longo is awesome. Also good, but with a shinier finish, is L'Oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stain (GREAT drugstore product, same formula as YSL Glossy Stains). |
Love this!! It looks great on almost everyone. |
Chanel rouge coco shine is more of a lip tint, not a lipstick. Why the aggressive tone? |
I got a sample of that at Sephora and it dried out my lips like crazy. |
That's such a shame! I love that stuff so much! |

I have not actually tried the product featured here, but the vast number of colors has me curious. Usually there are one to four colors. I do like Revlon Lip Stain and Balm, although it's a total moisture suck. The color (I can't remember) is one of the palest and is sort of a lavender beige. Which sounds hiddy, but it just adds a beautiful depth of color to my rosy lips. |
I think they sell Vincent Longo (love it!) at Beauty 360 in Dupont |
This one is worth every penny. And you can vary the look by how much or little you put on. and it'll STAY.

I'm the original Vincent Longo poster. Thank you for this! I'm going to head over there and check it out! |
I'm the 5/20 18:18 poster. Agree that this is great, but the L'Oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stain is a formula dupe for 1/3 of the price! The YSL version has way more shades, however. |
Does Revlon still make Bitten? Because that was a great product - it was a stain on one end and balm on the other to help keep you moisturized. |
