Does anyone love their lip stain?

Anonymous
I have always hated lip stick so I rarely wear it. I do keep Chap Stick and Burt's Bees lip balm in my car/desk at work. The other day, I had a red snow cone and a few people asked me what lip stain I was wearing. That got me thinking that maybe lip stain is more my style. But what kind should I get?

Stila makes a good one. I also like Benefit Benetint. I wear one of those and put a shimmery lip balm (usually the Burt's Bees ones) over it.

I love that stuff but for $6 more you can get Chanel rouge coco shine for a better effect and nicer smell.

Benetint is made with formaldehyde.

The ingredient that concerns me most, or at all, is Quaternium-15. It has a high hazard score of 6 and acts as a formaldehyde releaser.

What about drugstore stuff? Cover girl, revlon both make versions. Buy it at CVS or Target and if you don't like them, you can return it.

I hate the Cover Girl stain. It's really drying and you have to continually add the top coat.

The best coverage I've currently found is Maybelline 14 hour lipstick. I also tried Stay Glossy by Rimmel. It lasts longer than most glosses, any may be an alternative if you hate lipstick.

Try reading more carefully and/or googling before posting. Chanel rouge coco shine isn't lipstick. It's a sheer lip tint/stain.

I stain my lips by applying drugstore lipsticks in the most intense colors, and then wiping them off. Discovered the trick as a kid when I'd try to sneak Mom's vintage Fire & Ice lipstick, and then couldn't scrub it off.

Vincent Longo makes a lip/cheek stain that is the real deal. Been using it for over a decade. The color is much more concentrated than drugstore brands or Benetint.
