What's the funniest/most inappropriate reaction you've gotten to your pregnancy

Anonymous

So far when I've told people, I've gotten:
-Yeah, your stomach looked a lot bigger
-Another one??! We thought you would stop at one
-I win the bet! (From a family member who had apparently been betting behind my back that I wasn't just gaining weight)
-It's about time
-Oh...

You just have to laugh, right?

I wasn't laughing at this one: oh, you must be so happy to have your own kid. We adopted our first and I myself am adopted. Just so offensive in so many ways.

Was it planned?

I got was it planned from a kid I work with, but he's young and clueless, so I got over it really quickly.

What did you say to this idiot??

With my second I was told by a friend "you need to learn how to keep your legs closed". Oh yes because having a second child 5 years after the first totally makes me a whore. Haven't spoken to this friend since.

Oh my. I saw the number 5 in your post and thought you were going to write that you got this comment for baby #5 (and it would still be offensive - I'm horrified that anyone says this to another human being.). But your "friend" said this for your second child??!! Good thing you kicked her to the curb.

Also in the same conversation she told me I needed to learn what birth control is. Wtf?? I'm not sixteen! This was actually only a few weeks ago and I'm done with her.

This wasn't to me because I am too early to tell people, but a woman in another department was pregnant and is very petite to you could tell it wasn't weight. A (male) coworker was away at training for a while, came back and said, "wow, ----- gotFAT!".
Me: "um, she's pregnant"
him: "oh. Well, still, she looks really fat"

Hence why I am both struggling to decide I I would even tell my office or just let them figure it out AND am glad this guys tour in our office is over!

My MIL nearly fainted when announced we were having a third baby. I mean, she was so shocked that she practically swooned and then had to lie down on her couch to let it all sink in. And it wasn't as if my husband and I were teen parents barely scraping by...both working, married for a decade and in our mid 30s. It's all about her...

Then, fast forward a few weeks later. MIL was at our house. DH not home. Kids asleep. MIL literally corners me in the kitchen and asks if this was " an accident.". I blinked and told her in the haughtiest manner I could summon that not only was this NOT an accident, but rather the happy result of our first attempt to try for a third. I blabbed about how I couldn't believe I got preg right away!

yes I got this one too. It was funny b/c I had fertility issues, so I always said "Yes, it was VERY planned".

I had no idea you were trying.

My close friend told me "I did notice that your boobs got biggger and thought something might be going on"

I've had a couple people say, "Does this mean you're going to stop working?"

Um, no.

"I thought you were too old."
