Wow - They are one of the more popular bands out there over the past year+ |
Why does everybody all of a sudden need everything justified and spoon fed to them? "Tell me why I should use Instagram." "Why should I like Frank Ocean?" "What's so great about Mumford and Sons?" If you like something, you like it. If you don't, you don't. Nobody needs to tell you why something is good to them! |
Wish I had two tickets....

I was thinking the same thing. The "cut to the friggin' chase" thread about a c-section doc is the same. Why do we owe an agressive nasty person some kind of explanation? Is the OP here just hoping get a lot of "yeah, they suck!" responses? Will that make her feel like she has "popular" taste in music? I do not get it. Oh, and as for not having heard of Mumford and Sons... I don't suppose I would have either (I don't drive much, or listen to radio at home, and don't pay any attention to most popular culture like the grammys), except they are all over Pandora. |
Agreed. Very weird how musical groups/artists become a sudden success and *everybody* just loves them and if you don't, you're somehow out of the loop. I listen to all styles of music and can usually sing along with most Top 100 songs out today, but I am not familiar with this group and, from what I've heard, I'm not missing anything. |
"Group Think" |
You get groups like this come out every once in a while. In existence forever but "unknown" until some lucky track of theirs gets played on the radio. All of a sudden, they are the shit. 2 records later, they fade into obscurity again. |
I like everything except rap, hip-hop and R & B which to me are essentially the same anyway but love M and S |
Rap, hip-hop and R&B are not the same (unless, if by that, you mean that most of the artists are black). |
+10000000000 Adele will be the next (solo artist) victim. I'll stick with Maroon 5. ![]() |
no bc I know that they aren't--for the most part, neither of the genres stand out to me-all sound the same |
