I blame Adam Lanza's mother.

People want to blame the mental health coverage and support out there not being enough... BUT when these people do not seek treatment nor do their families make sure they are seeking it this shit happens.

I'm sick of the "mental illness" excuse. It's bullshit. These people are pure evil from hell and cannot be helped.

There I said it. Some ppl cannot be saved and they destroy the lives of others.

The mother was part of the "prepper" movement and stockpiling weapons to prepare for the end of the world. Anyone on here still believe the mother bears no responsibility in this tragedy?

It sounds like his mother was mentally ill herself. If she was, then she wasn't capable of bearing responsibility for herself, let alone this tragedy.

Oh yes. Google cheaperthandirt.com. . Store sells online. Is based in TX. All kinds of military grade weapons. Just check the box that you are 21. All sales are final.

Yes you can buy weapons online. They are shipped not to you but to a local FFL dealer and you still have to pass all the state checks before you can pick up the weapon.

Gun collection of assault/soldier type weapons + troubled teen = irresponsible to say the least. How hard it that? Maybe the apple does not fall far from the tree.

This mother made many mistakes...she pulled a troubled, anti-social, kid out of school to homeschool him (thereby further isolating him), she collected tons of guns and took this unstable kid to shooting ranges (thereby sending the message that using weaspons was ok and facillitating him being "armed and dangerous"), She does not appear to have reached out for help for her son and kept the problems she was having with him "secret", yet she often went out drinking to talk about BS with acquaintances. She may have had her own mental health issues that went unchecked/unaddressed. She should have seen how sick her son was and done everything to help him, living in denial and isolating him, while giving him access to weapons and instruction on how to use them....YES...this mother is most definitely responsible!

I agree. And I also wondered if the voices in the mom's head didn't instruct her to instruct her son to do such terrible things.
