I'm the PP many pages ago who can't self-coordinate separates, so I love places like Hanna or Gymboree. I have a skinny kid too, and a quick stitch or two takes in the pants of most clothes. Also, that is one thing I have found about Hanna. They are loose and baggy enough that dresses become tunics become shirts. Leggings become capris and we can get a couple of seasons worth of wear out of them.
I still only buy on sale, but it makes them that much more affordable if I know she's going to wear the same shirt or dress for 4 or 5 seasons instead of 1 or 2.[/quote]
That's true. That does make it more affordable that way. You are right. Thanks also for the tip about the quick stitch at the waist. Maybe I will try this. We have not bought any HA but do have one hand-me-down outfit from some friends, so maybe I will try that with the waist of the leggings. Thank you!
