Did you seriously just link to a Rasmussen report? Really? On a chat board for people who live in Washington, D.C. and KNOW WHAT THE HELL RASMUSSEN IS?

You're effing hilarious.

And yet, he will beat the best candidate you can come up with. When it happens, you only have yourselves to blame.

I am afraid that once they start targetting obama's last 3 years it will cause obama to really loose support because obama hasn't done anything positive for the economy and has made things worse or prolonged the suffering. It's a sad time to be a democrat. Obama is not only Carter 2.0 he is Carter X 2 times worse

I'm not so sure. The conventional wisdom is that only real dead-enders like yourself, and the plutocrat wing of the GOP will rally behind Romney. The Christianists will be unmotivated because he's a cult-member who follows a blasphemous perversion of Christianity. And the real conservatives will be unmotivated since Romney's natural politics are fairly indistinguishable from Obama's. Heck, he was the *first* one to force Obamacare on the voters under his term as Massachusetts governor. Granted, he called it Romneycare, but it's not like he can see the future, you know.

Kudos to the GOP star-chamber for anointing a candidate who isn't an angry, uncharismatic old man like Dole or McCain, though. There's a good chance Romney won't embarrass himself.

On the flip side Obama sucks so bad that it will motivate everyone to vote against him so its a win win. Obamas horrid policies is motivating everyone to vote him out.

Funny! You sound like me in 2004. Hahahahaha!

You are dreaming. These candidates have been firing at Obama for months. What has he done in response? Is be spending millions of dollars to counter the message? Hell no, he's amassing a huge war chest and building his ground organization. Meanwhile the economic news is getting better each month. He's doing some speeches, but he has not begun to fight.

This is as bad as it gets for Obama. This is him with 8.7% unemployment and zero campaign advertising. Meanwhile your candidates are beating each other up so bad, the survivor (probably Romney) won't know who is is or what he stands for by the time this is done.

He could have more money than China has rice but money alone doesn't get him elected, e.g., John McCain, John Kerry, George H.W, Bush (2nd term). Obama is a terrible president and you can't keep blaming Bush. I'm an Independent, one of those who helped put him in office, and I will not vote for him again. Four more years of Obama and all hope is lost for the next 10 years for the economy.

13:04, what has Obama done you wish he hadn't/vice versa? Or are you just butt-hurt we don't have 5% unemployment?

I don't have to blame Bush. Your candidates suck, and Obama is organized. He has had some wins in foreign policy, and hiring is picking up. By election day he could look pretty good to independents. Progressives like me are pissed about the detention laws / domestic spying, but we're not going to turn our country over to any candidate who spends the next six months trying to prove how they are the most conservative candidate in the GOP.

Any vote for the GOP is a vote for the next War -- in Iran.

Man, this is going to be so fun watching the Teabaggers and GOP base slowly come to the realization that Romney's their guy. Teabaggers will love the rich eastern elite guy who invented Obamacare. And the Christianists will love that he's a member of a cult-like perversion of Christianity.

They've discovered the perfect candidate!

Agreed. There has been one repetitive fake poster claiming to be an independent, posting about how they won't vote for Obama again. It's too obvious. I'm not saying such people don't exist, obviously they do. But this poster has overplayed their hand. Fake.

It gets so much better than that. Mitt was a supporter of the Vietnam War. However, he failed to enlist in order to participate in said war. Moreover, despite being of an age to be eligible for the draft, he avoid the draft. Guess how? He was exempted as a "minister of religion". He spent two and a half years proselytizing. But, this is the best part. Guess in which country he did his missionary work? France!

So, the likely Republican nominee is a chickenhawk, Francophone missionary.

I'm not the PP, but I am an independent who voted for Obama who really wishes there was another option besides whatever loser the GOP lands on and the status quo.

And when exactly did he join the pro-life movement?
