You asked this on the other thread. I'll give you the same answer here that I gave you there, with bolding to help out. The "right" tester means that your kid will have a better chance at scoring at his or her potential. The "wrong" tester might result in your kid scoring lower than his or her potential,. The whole problem is due to the fact that kids this age are so easily distracted and may tune the tester out, or get easily bored without an engaging tester. *No* tester can get your kid to score *more* than his or her potential. To say it a different way, no tester can turn a 50th pctile kid into a 90th pctile kid. If you think parents are looking for this miracle-worker tester, you've misunderstood the problem. |
Are you sure? You seem very certain of this. |
Here this poster goes again. Flip flopping like Cain. On the one hand you ask the poster to get off this thread and start another one. And, on the other hand, you are curious to hear from other parents on this subject. Either stay on the potty or get off. |
16:31/17:37, maybe DCUM needs to give you your own little forum so you can start your own train wrecks of threads. And those of us who get annoyed by your insults and the way you either don't read other posters, or deliberately misinterpret them, can stay the heck away. |
Cuckoo bird. I am not the posters you reference above. I am interested in this topic. Please look for your rabbits elsewhere. Put your imagination to rest or take your medications. Thanks. |
Make that 16:31/17:37/18:57. |
Cuckoo bird still chasing imaginary rabbits in the snow. Keep guessing since you are just as wrong as you are predictable. Please do not forget to add this post to your running collection. |
OK. You are quite the bagpipe: 11:48, 15:19, 15:36, 15:52, 17:08, 21:39 in this thread alone. The problem are not the rabbits you chase but the cuckoo bird amongst the snowflakes. |
I want to hear from other parents about the topic of the thread. Please note the original question. |
If IQ is fixed and doesn't change (up or down) why retest? |
The measurement of IQ certainly changes. |
If IQ does change are there certain environments or exercises (training) that improve IQ? Conversely, are there certain activities (or lack thereof) that may result in diminsihing IQ? |
Please stick to the topic of the thread. If you would like to discuss another topic, please begin a new thread to do so. |
Administrator, please tell us how this post does not relate to the purpose of "WPPSI re-tests". Why re-test? The post is directly related to the thread. If the purpose of your admonition is to ban and regulate conversation, or take sides, then do so out of under the pretense the post does not have bearing on this thread. Thank you. |
It is not my job to explain things to you. It is your job to adhere to the forum guidelines. While you may find that difficult, I will find removing your posts to be fairly easy. |
