Adult Halloween costumes - if you're over 40, what's age appropriate but still sexy?

I'm a woman. I'm attracted to women as well, so even if I were a man I'd think the "sexy" costumes are stupid. Of course I enjoy the sight if the woman dressed up is hot, but I still find it silly that most costumes for women are "sexy," even when it doesn't make sense. There's always an expectation for women to be dressed sexily, even on a night that's supposed to for fun dressing up. Sexy Big Bird? Sexy Ninja Turtle? Really?

Sexy Big Bird? LOL! That's hilarious. Personally, I agree that sexy for Halloween isn't all that exciting. Go for something creative, or interesting. To the PP who misses the clubs - I don't get that. Pick a night and go out! Or change out of your suburban mom clothes during the week. |

I am not the PP, but I agree with her/him. I do have a nice body, and I don't have anything against dressing in a sexy manner, but I still think it's sad that most women reach for the sexy costumes rather than the fun ones on Halloween. It's the one day of the year to be silly and dress up in a cool costume- I can dress up sexily any day (and my daily outfits aren't what you'd call conservative...) so I take advantage of Halloween as a time to wear a kickass outfit, not a boner-inducing outfit. |
