I Love 97.1 WASH FM!

Nah. I'm not a big fan of light/soft rock. There are some nostalgic so-called mainstream songs from the 80s and 90s that I love, but I tend to listen to my Pandora stations. I have a Smiths station and Pixies station. I went to high school in the 90s so I have an affinity for the grunge/alt scene during that time. Also the Riot Girl scene is pretty close to my heart. I like newer music, but it tends to be indie music I guess.

I just listen to stuff I find on iTunes. Maybe I need to try Pandora. I hate almost everything on the radio these days.

Folks should listen to 1190 AM on the PM drive. Most of the time it's China-centric talk but they have a show called Music Safari -- no commercials -- with the widest variety of music I've yet seen on terrestrial radio (more varied than the Jack FM clones like 107.3).

Not what you asked OP, but 107.3 makes me vomit. Is that Jack Diamond guy still there? He loves himself. That makes exactly one. Elliot on 101 is pretty funny, especially his maniacal laugh. You can tell he's not from here. Which just makes me want to listen even more. I definitely miss WHFS and the WHFeStival. Also, wasn't 94.7 a great station about ten years ago? I love driving to NY, it has always had great and varied stations.

Love 105.9 also.

Lately, I'm doing a lot of Pandora and less radio, however.

I could never get into Pandora. I'd load it up with stuff I liked and it just gave me shit. I do love 105.9, just because its lovely to have Kirk back on the radio.

I really like 102.7; it's like iPod shuffle radio.

I got a Roku Player this Spring--I love it! I am also an old HFS fan and have found that Radio Paradise is an excellent modern substitute. It has a great online site with a crazy forum that rivals DCUM at times: http://www.radioparadise.com/ I have no affiliation with it whatsoever--it is free to listen to online but on the Roku you get beautiful accompanying random stunning photography on you TV screen with the music. Try it, you might like it!

Ok so you can listen to the new HFS here: http://whfs.radio.com/

I've had it on for the past couple hours, and it feels like coming home. I think I might be getting an hd radio for my car after all!
