Be careful, some of the "organic" 365 products are made in China (like the veggies). I think the milk is ok, but just FYI

I think it is 2% or lowfat milk though.

Not PP here, but Costco now sells whole milk for a while now - it wasn't available until about 1-2 months ago.. we buy our milk there now regularly and hte space issue PP said is a great advantage!

Just bought a gallon of Horizon brand whole milk at the TARGET in Columbia Heights today.

Unfortunately, Horizon is rated really low by The Cornucopia Institute, so I tend to steer away from it.

I'll try MOM's though. Never even heard of that store before this post. TY!

Harris Teeter on Glebe and in Pentagon Row usually have gallons. Sometimes they run out on Sunday afternoons

Yes, it is lowfat organic, not whole.

No- they have whole milk at Costco Sterling and Fairfax at least. Just bought it this week and the week prior.

How much does Costco charge for half gallons of organic milk? And is it really organic or just hormone-free?

And for the person who didn't know Mom's...it's great! I have some savings tips up on my blog now from their store, plus others in the archive if you search.

I believe it's 7.99 for 3 64 oz cartons (cost of costco organic milk)- i personally like that it's in smaller containers- the gallon jug is just hard to pour from- we do have an extra fridge though..

64 oz = 1 gallon. It's not $7.99 for 3 gallons. Is it $7.99 for 3 1/2 gallons?

Does organic milk taste different than "regular" milk. My DC says so. But I can't really tell.

I wrote *3* 64 oz cartons.. so that would make it 7.99 for 3 1/2 gallons.

16:03 Poster -- 128 oz = 1 Gallon; 64 oz = 1/2 gallon, so the 16:37 poster was correct. Costco's milk is Organic, not just hormone free. Anyone know of any local chains that sell hormone free milk -- I'm just curious if it is cheaper than organic milk.

I totally think organic milk tastes better. "Regular" milk tends to have a "saltier" taste - that's the only way I can describe it. Even some of the 'less organic' milks, like Horizon don't seem to taste as good as the other ones.
