All I can find is the 1/2 gallon container of organic milk. Where can I find 1 gallon of organic milk? |
Sorry I can't help, but I'd be interested to know of any sources also. I've tried Giant, Whole Foods, Safeway, Harris Teeter - no gallon sized organic milk. |
MOM'S (My organic market) sells them. They have stores in Alexandria, Rockville, College Park etc. |
Whole foods sells their own brand of organic whole milk in the gallon size (365). |
Even better - MOMs has grass-fed organic milk by the gallon. It's all we buy.
After all, cows aren't meant to eat grain. |
Trader Joes sells 1 Gallon non-organic milk, which is certified to indicate the cows aren't fed hormones. |
Trader Joe's also has organic milk in gallon size. |
Wegmans |
Target in reston- $5.99 |
Harris Teeter on N. Harrison in Arlington has gallon sized milk. I think the Safeway in Cherrydale does, too. |
Whole Foods typically has both one-gallon sizes of both Organic Valley and private label 365 Organic (which they get from Organic Valley). |
Out in the burbs, Giant, Safeway and Wegmans all carry gallon sizes. |
Also, I have found that Whole Foods organic (365 brand) milk is the cheapest at ~$5.89/gallon. |
Not sure if this helps, but Costco sells 3 half gallons together. Price is good, but I also like that it makes for more space in the main fridge (others are stored in second fridge - AKA beer fridge). |
I think it is 2% or lowfat milk though. |
