I have been buying socks at Target and they fall apart after a couple of wears/washes. And the ones I find in store are 97% poly.

Oh stop.

They do not and you are just trying to justify buying expensive for your kid. They at least last a year, which is about as long as you need a child’s sock to last.

Is your elementary aged kid a runner? Confused as to why you would buy them Bombas.

I buy a new 10-pack of the cheapest white socks i can find (usually Hanes or Fruit of the Loom) and send them with my kids to sleepaway camp. Those socks survive camp life and camp laundry and come back looking exactly as I sent them (only no longer white). They generally enter the regular rotation of socks at that point and get tossed the next time summer rolls around. So, yes- I don’t buy that socks from Target “fall apart” after a couple washes

How many pairs of socks do you have in your kid’s rotation? Because they do not last a year. And no I’m not trying to justify anything, just not having to buy socks over and over. Last year we spent a little more on Nike because classmates swear by them and they were even worse! Developed holes and the seams were incomfortable.

I have Bombas for everyday socks. Balegas for running. Ther is a huge difference. Balegas are fantastic for running.

I’ve literally never bought socks more than once per yr and each kid had about 10 pairs- nothing expensive

For an adult worth every penny.

I hate the social engineering behind it. No, if i am buying $20 socks I am donating a pair of socks not you bomba!

My 8 year old son wanted them. I guess he saw other kids wearing them, and my husband wears them. I caved and bought them for him…he really likes them! Yes they are a splurge, but I think they are worth it.

I'm mostly intrigued that anyone replaces socks that frequently- I grab whatever pack at marshalls- really like the under Armour ones but they were cheap, have a bunch of different pairs and they all last many many years

Do you replace other types of clothing that frequently to?

Yeah I hang dry my clothes and most last a long time.

We've used Bombas for our kids and honestly, the quality is great - super soft and they hold up really well after multiple washes. For sizing, you're right that Youth goes up to size 3. If your child is a 3.5, the Women's Small is usually the next best fit. It might be a little roomy at first but still comfortable, especially if they’re growing fast. Some people also prefer sizing down in Women's if their kid is on the border. Hope that helps!

My family all has high arches so they like the slight compression in them (my mom especially). They're kind of expensive so I buy them as Christmas presents mostly.

The weird thing I have noticed is the color socks are more durable than the black and white ones. I wear them equally but the black ones get holes faster.
