I don’t really know how they select who is going to be pope but my brain went straight to thinking that we got an American pope because our political leadership is a little unstable.

| There’s already another thread on this. But also, this isn’t a guy that has spent his entire life in America only 1/3 of his life. Many at the Vatican don’t even consider him “American“ since he has spent 2/3 of his life in Peru in Italy. Additionally, it’s been reported that being born in America has been a negative, and that had not been born in America he likely would’ve been first on almost everyone’s list. |
