| That letter was incredibly poorly written. I didn't have expectations going into it, but … what an embarrassment, that our country's Secretary of Education would write something without a single compelling argument or citation. It reads like an unhinged screed sent to a regional newspaper's "give the cranks an outlet" letters-from-the-readers section. |

| These threads are pointless. Intelligent people who care about higher education, the Constitution, and democracy express their outrage at the Trump Administration's unconscionable actions. And trolls, half-wits, and know-nothings express their love for Trump (and their ignorance of just about everything else) in third-grade prose. I strongly suggest that those of us in the first group simply stop clicking on these threads. Nothing good can come of it. |
