SPINOFF: At what age did you first have sex OR ...

Anonymous
Even though I waited until I was 17 to have sex on my own terms, I didn't consider myself a virgin.

16, and biggest gap was 12 years. I was 33, he was 45 with the emotional maturity of an 18-yr-old. I guess that doesn't count as cougar material, though.

OMG you were 12??!!!

I would be so sad, angry and disappointed if my 12 yo DD was having sex.

I'm sure if my mother knew I was raped at 12 she would be sad too.

That's interesting, I was raped at 17 but I still don't think of myself as actually having sex until I was 24, on my wedding night. At 17, I was assaulted. At 24, I had sex for the first time.

I don't think any of the posts regarding the 12-year-old are assuming rape, as that is a totally different scenario than this OP was addressing and no one would should be judgemental of that. It certainly says nothing about the state of mind of the child or the parenting involved (unless, of course, the Parent was the raper or just ignored what had happened)......I'm sure that sad would be a vast understatement for how your Mother would feel.

My husband and I "lost it" to each other. Everything we learn or try, has been together, and yes. It's been wonderful. The physical and emotional aspects are both amazing.

as for the PP who was 12, I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you.

But then again, neither of you would know the difference, right? And neither would those who didn't wait. It's theoretical from both sides.

I was 16, with my 16-year-old boyfriend. We had been together almost a year, and stayed together for another year.

Biggest gap, maybe 4-5 years.

People know if they're having good sex. You don't need to have sex with 10 people to figure it out.

But you're a man, right?

This has always really offended me.
