Big 3, Big 5??

No, it’s not. The Cathedral schools are considered as one unit. Otherwise it would just be the Big 2 by your measure. A kindergarten student applying to the Big 3 would be applying to GDS, Sidwell and Beauvoir, for example. STA/NCS are simply a continuation of Beauvoir and are thus one unit for the purposes of this categorization.

With all of that being said Sidwell has been #1 for some time. Sidwell, prestige prestige prestige. Sidwell could have sent no students to ivies this year and many people would find excuses for the school. I think the fact that many politicians have sent their kids there also play a big role. Typically if any out of state people know about a private school in the dmv it’s, you guessed it Sidwell. Enough about them, here is thee list below!

1. Sidwell
2. Cathedral schools: NCS/STA
3. GDS
4. Maret
5. Potomac
6. Holton and Landon
7. Bullis
8. Maderia
9. WIS
10. St Andrews

Honorable mentions: Episcopal, St Stephens and Sandy Springs. BIS needs to marinate for another 3 decades.

I like the way you sneaked in Potomac and Maret. LOL

I’m assuming your child attends holy child, holy cross, sjc or flint hill?

Yeah, so what’s your point?

Wow I’m spot on, makes sense why you think you deserve a spot in the top 10. Guess what..ya don’t! Who are you to diss Potomac and Maret

Maret and Potomac are never above Holton.
Never

Always. Holton is a joke school for rich thickies who can’t hack it at NCS

There are girls who choose Holton over NCS. Both are great schools!

But they’re not both “great schools”. One is great and the other is good enough

Those two are neck and neck.

There’s already a pinned post for this nonsense.

Good night!

How many Supreme Court justices does your “Big 3” school have?

Rapey ones or non-rapey ones?

The only rapes that occurred were conducted by the leftists in the media, many of whom have now admitted they advanced a hoax. Tawana Brawley and CBF are the same lie.

GDS is #1 this year-with the most imprssoev results in a very difficult year. So if you are basing your "Big Three" on when you went to school in the 80's, I guess you can discount it, but for those of us living in 2024- GDS is the hardest school in the DMV to be accepted to and has the best admits this year. So for a current Big three list:
GDS
Sidwell
St Albans

What a joke. This pretty much sums of GDS parents.

No, GDS is not the most difficult school to be admitted to nor does it have the best college admits. But keep repeating it in the hopes that others will come to believe it.

Amazingly Trumpian rhetorical strategy.

And it’s not close.

Well Basis is certainly in a league of its own. I’m just not sure how many of dcum’s visitors are interested.
