| Must confess I hate them both, but esp. Olive. Note that Olive is the name of the daughter of Sasha Baron Cohen & Isla Fischer, so be prepared for lots of questions about whether she's named after that (at least from your friends who read US Weekly!) |

Choose the one you genuinely like best! They are too similar to pick a second favorite, or you may always question yourself.
If you really can't decide, I'd go with Olivia and you can always call her Olive as a second nickname. We chose between two variations of a name, and wish we'd chosen the longer version to have more options. (That said, I rather like "Livianna") |

Although I'm constantly amazed at the names that are coming back into fashion. Maybe you want to put Mildred and Edna on your list, too. |

| We named our daughter Olivia, after her great, great aunt. We hoped she would not despise her old-fashioned, unusual (so we thought) name. Suddenly, they came out of the woodwork. There are 4 Olivia's in my daughters elem. class of 17 girls. That said, I still love the name. And, her brother calls her Olive just to enrage her! |
