We have a wonderful caregiver, Elisabeth, who has watched children in her Glover Park home for 10 yrs. She's French, and speaks/reads to our son in French throughout the day. We started taking him to her when he was almost 3 months old, he's now 6 1/2 mos. and is thriving physically and intellectually (highly interactive, etc.) Though he's not talking yet, the way he smiles and laughs when he sees Elisabeth is a pretty good endorsement. Finn is our first child, and our primary concern was finding a safe place where he would be able to get a lot of attention; initially we planned to go the nanny or nanny share route, but after meeting Elisabeth we decided that she was a great fit. Since we also live in Glover Park, the convenience is a big plus and the fact that she costs less than a nanny was also a factor.

She has one spot open for full time care right now (she only takes three children at any one time) and I'd highly recommend her - especially if you have an infant, she's great with babies and obviously loves to watch them grow.
