thanks! I was cracking myself up- because you can picture that, right? after reading some of these comments!
seems silly really- who cares what others do- we are women and should be bonded together- supporting each other- regardless of socio-economic differences- but clearly- that is not the case.
so sad! and can someone PLEASE tell me where in the hell these angry housewives NOT eating bon bons, bust their asses in the gym?
really? I can't believe that NOBODY has a spin class they want to tell me about....sheesh!
is that a joke? or is there really a dc urban mom gym? if so- based on the scary and mean things people have had to say on this thread- my guess is that its full of steroid pumping meat heads doing chest bumps and kissing their own muscles...not really my scene!
i do think something is in the urban mom water tonight! did you read the "what do stay at home moms do all day postings???"
shocking that all these people complaining of such little time have loads of time to tear up others!
maybe my nyc roots and thick skin will be well served for swimming in these shark infested waters!
thank you for the warm welcome VA! I hope so too- with three little ones, I am going to feel like I am juggling knives for a bit whilst I figure out the lay of the land...but my hubby is from the general area- so it will be nice for my kids to grow up close to the grandparents!
ok- so whether you stay at home or go to work- do any of you ladies exercise? and where do you go? I am moving to Bethesda in a few weeks and am looking for a place that I can get out all of my pent up stress- and judging from some of these fiesty posts- more than a few of you need to get some stress out as well!
dont know the answer to that question but all the SAHMs in workout clothes hang out at Sweetgreen. Not sure if they actaully work out or just wear the clothes but maybe they are in the know.

thanks- what is Sweetgreen? I guess after reading all the negative things people have to say about stay at home moms- and me being very new to this site- I may not get any real answers.
I was told this was an informative and friendly site for newcomers to town, but I am beginning to feel like it is not going to be a welcoming place for me to break into! and I thought the momzillas in nyc were bad! lol- silly me!
I am moving to Bethesda in 3 weeks and I am starting to have major anxiety about not knowing where I will get my 4 day a week spin class fix!!!
Please tell me where the hot gyms are in Bethesda with great spin teachers and facilities!! I can feel my cellulite laughing at my worry of not being able to workout!!!
HELP ME WORKOUT JUNKIES IF YOU ARE OUT THERE!!!
thank you everyone- was offline for a few weeks on vacay -no luck so far with preschools- but heading down to MD tomorrow to check out a house- is Manor a friendly place if I just pop in to check it out?
does anyone have kids at these schools? if so, what do you think of Oneness and Manor and Bethesda Montessori?
thanks!
thanks everyone- I am looking into Manor- any other quality recs?
nyc mom
thank you so much! I have been pouring over this website and I have found little info on Bethesda- i am new to this site, so maybe I am just ignorant to how best to navi thru it!
Thanks for the info- I will be ringing them tomorrow!
Please help me with recs for preschools- I have a son turning 2 and a daughter turning 4- that I need to enroll into a preschool in the Burning Tree area- we are renting a home while we build and are looking to stay in the Burning Tree area as our 6yr old daughter will be enrolled in 1st grade this fall. We move down at the end of June and I am now desperate to find something for my 2 youngest babes...our soon to be 4 yr old is in a private preschool here- 5 days a week- 3 half days and 3 days 9-4pm- the program is similar to a Montessori and she is really loving the full time days- plus the socializing- I am afraid to halt her love of learning and pace now as she is excelling so much. Any thoughts? My son has only been at home with me and has no intro so I am not as concerned about what s available for him- and will only put him in a few half days a week for socializing purposes...but I don't want my middle daughter to suffer and become bored!
I realize we are way behind the enrollment process as our enrollments here were back in January for next year....any advice will be greatly appreciated!
