I have tried the coabode.com site and find that perhaps because it is relatively new it seems to be difficult to find a home to share. I am still hopeful as I have only begun the process.

As an aside: my spouse and I have no hopes of saving our marriage and separation is inevitable. Our lease is up in August and I would like to 1. Stay within the Bethesda/Chevy Chase/Upper NW area and 2. cannot do it on my budget. I don't know if I am dreaming or unrealistic but it kills me to think that I may have to rip my two children 6 and 4 out of this neighborhood and away from their friends, sports activities, etc. I know that ''you do what you have to'' but I cannot fathom living in an area that coincides with my budget. Find it prentious if you would like. Is it realistic to find someone to share a house with short-term? Has anyone actually done this?
