As a former CGES parent, I can assure you that my kid got nothing from the instruction. It was randomly scheduled, nothing came home about what they were learning or doing during that 30 minutes one day a week. I always felt that they could have made it meaningful - teach colors, foods, numbers, action verbs, etc. The instructors were "on loan" from China as part of the PYP program, so they are not MCPS teachers.

Same experience.

During parents' day at school I watched a Chinese course it was really interesting but my children quickly forget what they learned as they don't practice at home.
Thanks!
Hi,

I'm looking for martial arts classes for my kids in Rockville, Gaithersburg areas.

Any martial art they'll try some before making their choices.
It was a sad face

I expressed my worries we cannot be worried and positive at the same time.

And it was in a respectful way but it's like we're not free to express our feelings respectfully. Nethermind.

I feel better now after reading some reviews. Thanks for all of you.

Thanks. I look forward to join the beall community
I never said the school was a dump I just said the building was older and seemed smaller than CG.

I don't understand why people are so touchy and so easily aggressive online maybe because it's soooo easy behind a computer or a cellphone.

Don't walk into Beall the first day remarking about what a dump it is.

I'm educated I know how to communicate and express my feelings in an appropriate way with people, thanks.

At what time the school starts?

9:00 - 3:25

Thanks! I prefer this time

I can park further it's not a problem walking is good.

Beall ends at 3:25. If you come at 3:15, you are likely to find parking even in parking lot. There are plenty of street parking very close to Beall available even at 3:24. Parking is a non-issue if you are flexible with Parking.

Thanks!

I can ask reviews in different websites I don't see the problem...

Same people won't reply twice and I could discuss with different people with different experiences.

Thanks for your reviews I'm feeling better now

Hi,

That's what I thought.

Yes I plan to drop him off anyway, walking a bit is not a problem.

Thanks for your review I'm a bit relieved
Anonymous wrote:You had the regular MCPS curriculum at CG too. It was just presented in a way to meet PYP requirements. Since 4/5 schools feeding to JW do not have PYP, it is not a problem at all. Parking is not great at CG. Why were you parking to drop your child off? There is a drop off loop. The school and playground will not be overcrowded. Great news. Beall has a pretty great reputation but you seem like you are starting with a negative attitude. Please do not do that to your child!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

My child takes the school bus but sometimes I drop them off I never had problems to park, I park on the first right street. You have to walk a bit.

I have some concerns but I keep them for me I don't influence my child it is my feelings and concerns not his.
Hi,

Next year we will switch to Beall ES

I had a look on the school from outside it seems older and smaller compared to College Gardens. I did not see big playgrounds like in CG.

Of course we should not judge a school based only on its building but I think an appealing infrastructure is also important.

My child will be in first grade next year can some Beall parents give us some reviews about the school please?

I might have to drive my child to school, parking is it a problem or should we plan to come early?

Not being anymore in Primary years IB program is it a problem if we are back to IB in Julius West and Richard Montgomery?

I don't know if there is a huge difference between IB program and MCPS regular curriculum.

I come from France US school system is new for me.
