Happy to walk through it. PM me if you'd like.
This is awesome. You tackled something that was previously considered un-obtainable. I can mean you helped take down a thorny issue, pull in a big client or won a battle in the workplace over someone perceived as unworkable. In short, you did good. Make sure you document the impact (especially financial to the company) so you can objectively bring it up during review time.
Oh and one more thing...send them a hand written thank you note. You will be AMAZED how well this goes over.
We do this for other couples a lot. Just embrace it. Do not score card. You can't match them and you'll begin to resent their friendship. Sometimes people with means are really appreciative and live for the good times and good friends.

We tailgate at games with people all the time expecting nothing in return. It's the moment spending time with you in something I like that makes it special. Just thank them and...

Instead, find something you do really well and invite them to it. If you cook a particular thing well, invite them over and explain how/why you enjoy doing it. They'll be interested in your passion for it. Even if it's playing Cards Against Humanity over a couple of bottles of wine, they will look at you as "genuine friends" not like others in their circle who need to "purchase friendship."
The good news -- appears like pure boredom, not depression. Definitely fixable. Pretty easy too.
About to turn 50. Shaved it all last year. Honestly embraced the baldness. Still joke about wanting hair, but I really think fitness, skin and getting clothes that fit > hair/hair color. A great suit, tie, shirt combo or a pair of fitted jeans will impact your appearance as much as hair.
Seen Bruce 20+ times over 35 years. His stadium shows appeal to the crowd, cranking out nostalgic hit after hit. There will be a 3-4 song period where you can refresh your beverage or bathroom break if you don't like his non-anthem "wrist slitting" songs. The moment you see Bruce Springsteen and the E STREET BAND, you're good for a great show. It's when he's playing by himself or with a bunch of folk musicians, buyer beware. You'll have a blast -- you'll get all the standards you want -- Hungry Heart, Rosalita, Born to Run, Dancin' in the Dark, Glory Days, etc.. I actually think the sound in the 300/400 level is better at Nats Park than the field levels. Field Levels have a ton of reverb from all the concrete and the speakers tend to reach the upper decks with more clean sound. The only drawback is that if you like to stand and dance in the upper levels, you run the risk of someone yelling "sit down" at you during multiple songs. I always check www.setlist.fm to see what songs will be played in what order so I can determine when I need to tit the bathroom and/or get another $13 beer. Enjoy!
