We invite you to share this with your friends, neighbors, and anyone you know who may be seeking a warm, engaging school community for their child. Prospective families will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet our teachers, and learn more about how we blend the Montessori philosophy with the Creative Curriculum and STEM-based learning to nurture curiosity, independence, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning.
Children are welcome to attend and explore our hands-on classrooms and materials.

Northeast Stars Montessori in Capitol Hill and Alexandria starts at 2 years old. They potty train and each child has their own individualized education and potty-training plan. Montessori schools are about the individual child and creating lesson plans to fit each child's specific need and areas of interest.

We are licensed by OSSE.
We are currently accepting applications for STARS aged 24 months to 5 years for our 2024-2025 School Year.
Our program cycle runs for 12 months, from September 2024 through August 2025. There is also a 9 month option from September 2024 - May 2025. We also have a Summer camp program which runs from May-August.
Our classrooms accommodate and average of 13 children, maintaining a 1:4 staff-to-child ratio.
We offer different schedule options for families: Before care (7:30 AM - 8:00 AM), Full School Day (8 AM - 2:45 PM), and Full Day + Extended Care (8 AM - 6 PM) , Afternoon Playtime (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM). Flexible scheduling, two-day, three-day, or five-day a week options.
We have a rolling enrollment process, allowing families to apply at any time to join the waitlist and start as soon as your child ages into the program.

Prospective Virtual Parent Tours are hosted several times each month. In person tours are hosted at our Alexandria campus twice each month and at our DC campus by request only.
