SOAR mom here. yes, many of the kids stay in touch and return again. My son is still in touch via text and honestly, gaming, with his friends from there. It is not so much "vacation camp". The setting and activities are just that - a place where friendships and social interactions happen, with gentle coaching.
I would not be happy with this. I might allow it but with frustration that you picked it. Many kids are scared right now - they are having nightmares. There are so many other things that dont involve gun play that are cool and fun -- top golf, sandy spring adventure park, escape room, pinstripes, Skyzone/dodgeball
