If it is for ECNL-R, sorry that your kid's team was good enough to qualify to go. We got lucky and lost in the semifinal. The clubs probably have little say or info as to what is entailed for that tourney. Booking last minute flights to SoCal isn't cheap and neither will the food and lodging be. Not sure why "regional" teams need to go to a national tournament. The ECNL-R tournament runs alongside the ECNL one, so they won't get to play any top team.

Ha, I remember that one. Youth soccer gets so ridiculous. Why would second tier teams travel 3000 miles to play other second tier teams? This isn't the pros where the player is getting paid to do it. This is amateur US club soccer where the parents are paying. I can rationalize the top ECNL teams going to see who's the best in the USA. I don't get the ECNL-R teams making that trek for anything other than the money someone else will be pocketing.
