Maybe it's a new sponsor as Amazon is pulling back on expenditures.
Hey all, Wanted to get some parents thoughts regarding their soccer tryouts experience this year around the DMV. Our club is a MLSNext club with quite a few other travel teams in each age group. It looked like there were a lot of new faces trying out across the board in both MLSNext and regular tryouts (u14). I am guessing now that the pandemic is easing, people are more open to moving to other clubs. It also looks like MLSNext is taking off as their were quite a lot of kids trying out for that particular team. What is everyone else seeing?
Alexandria MLSNext tryouts are on the 04/26, if interested. Have to register to go.

We did the DCU camp and my kid had a good time. He was with a couple of friends, so that may have added to the enjoyment. Not sure if it is challenging, but a good time was had. For a more challenging camp, you may want to look at the University of Maryland soccer camp. Heard good things about it and they are offering both residential and day camp options.
Like mentioned above, you can contact clubs directly to see if your kid can come to a practice. That is usually a good way to get coaches to see your kid and for you to see how the club is run. I am not sure any club has posted the spring tryout dates yet, but I would definitely get in touch with the youth director of whatever perspective club you are interested in to see if you can bring your kid to a practice before that.
