No brainer, absolutely Arlington.
The boys BRYC and Vienna teams to ECNL-Regional and BRAVE teams to ECNL-National didn't fare very well!

The BRYC boys teams won 1 (one) game the entire season in ECNL-r. They went 1-47-0 as a club. That's ONE win in 48 games across all age groups!
1-47-0
BRYC Elite Academy RL B04 - 0-8-0 6th (last)
BRYC Elite Academy RL B06 - 1-7-0 6th (last)
BRYC Elite Academy RL B07 - 0-8-0 6th (last)
BRYC Elite Academy RL B08 - 0-8-0 6th (last)
BRYC Elite Academy RL B09 - 0-8-0 6th (last)
BRYC Elite Academy RL B10 - 0-8-0 6th (last)

The Vienna boys teams didn't fare much better, but beat the BRYC teams in their head to head games across all age groups in the ECNL-r.
13-35-3
Vienna Youth Soccer RL B04 - 1-7-0 5th (second to last, beat BRYC)
Vienna Youth Soccer RL B06 - 5-5-1 3rd
Vienna Youth Soccer RL B07 - 2-4-2 4th
Vienna Youth Soccer RL B08 - 1-7-0 5th (second to last, beat BRYC)
Vienna Youth Soccer RL B09 - 1-7-0 5th (second to last, beat BRYC)
Vienna Youth Soccer RL B10 - 3-5-0 4th

The BRAVE conglomerate fared the same, dwelling in the basement.
14-109-7
Fairfax BRAVE SC ECNL B04 - 0-20-0 19th (last)
Fairfax BRAVE SC ECNL B06 - 4-14-6 15th
Fairfax BRAVE SC ECNL B07 - 1-20-0 19th (last)
Fairfax BRAVE SC ECNL B08 - 2-17-0 19th (last)
Fairfax BRAVE SC ECNL B09 - 2-21-0 18th (second to last)
Fairfax BRAVE SC ECNL B10 - 5-17-1 16th

How are these clubs in ECNL?

By what metric do you measure college placement? Not saying McLean isn't the top but I'm curious how do you score it.

Isn't a good part of college placement the players/students/families/high schools you happen to have in your geographic area? I mean, McLean is probably tops in sending students to top colleges outside of sports due to their highly educated, highly affluent parents. Is McLean ECNL doing something different or just benefitting from the players they can land who live near McLean

The clubs all publish their player commitments.

DC United's U16 won the MLS Next Cup this year!

Is there a site that posts the MLS Next rosters?

I've searched "soccer rankings" on the Play Store but nothing really seems relevant.

Right now, it's in the Apple Store only, in the SoCal thread, he says the android version is still a week out.
FPYC Rec All Star Tournament plays on better fields!
Players that are interested in playing in college will go to BRAVE or try to catch on with another ECNL or MLS Next team. They are not going to get recruited out of CCL.

The Youth Soccer Rankings site is no longer in service. We have been proud to help serve the soccer community with youth soccer rankings; unfortunately, we are no longer able to provide complete and accurate national rankings and have decided to take down the site. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

That's a shame, it was far more accurate then GotSoccer.

Not from my perspective, except boys' coaching slate should come out this weekend. I think it was a good move to have one, and it sounds like there will be another one this spring as more details and information have come to light. There simply is a lot of questions and details still to be finalized (e.g. fee structure, uniform costs [reviewing bids currently]) and typical things out of their control, just like with many others, (e.g. which fields they will get permits for for use etc.), but at least stating that is better than no communication at all.

It looks like boys ID session dates are out

I'm curious to see who the boy's coaching staff will be. Any word with what's going on with the current bryc boy's coaches?

Are the current BRYC boys coaches leaving to start the NVUFC?

That’s the rumor. The Welch’s own and operate NVUFC and are trying to convince all the BRYC boys to join. They have even gone so far as to suggest NVUFC may get into ECNL. Laughable. Good luck.

This will further dilute an ECNL effort for BRYC/VYS. Neither can complete now.

There is big difference.

Anyway, for BOYS!!!, VYS does not stand out in EDP play, and with some previous VYS players on BYRC ECNL teams already, I do believe VYS replacing BRYC for ECNL is getting lower performance, if most BRYC BOYS players moving to NVU.

The initial concept is to consolidate, but with what is happening for BOYS side, it basically introduced a new NVU club into Nothern Virgina boys' landscape. Good or bad, time will tell.
I feel it is going to be a bad thing, well, I only care about my boy, to make things easy he may go alone with NVU. sadly, no option is better than another.

Is NVUFC actually starting boys teams for regular season play or is that still just a rumor?

I thought NVUFC was an adult semi-pro team. https://www.northernvirginiaunited.com/aboutus

They are, but they recently expanded into youth Super Y teams.
A player should only play up an age group, if they can be a starting player on the older age group team.

I'm not sure how this will change the boys side. The BRYC boys teams are better than the VYS boys teams. This partnership was done for the bryc girls teams. Although unless more talent goes to this partnership, the ECNL teams will continue to struggle.

I think the BRYC boys ECNL teams are probably comparable to Vienna Eagle teams. VYS 05 boys beat BRYC ECNL 2-0 in tournament play.
