Yes, where we are traveling next week is going to be the hot end of summer. I actually tried her in it again today and I found that if I bend her knees up so that she's in more of a squat (with her legs not poking out) her hips aren't stretched as much and she looks very comfortable. Thanks for the responses.
We have an ergo carrier and have not used it yet because we didn't get the infant insert.
Our baby is almost 4 months old and has good enough body and head control to sit up straight in it (her head does not come over the top, though, but she seems happy in there). We have many carriers including the Moby and a ring sing but we'd like to use this on an upcoming trip on which we'll be on foot a lot in a busy city abroad.
However, her legs seem open much wider (in order to sit with legs to each side of my body) than they would naturally be in any other position besides in the carrier.
Is her body still too tiny for this? Is it bad for her hips at this point? I could call the company for this info, so I guess what I really want to know, is when did you switch from the insert to regular use? What age was your little one?
We recently started using diapers.com for our 3 month old, because we found out they carry Nature Babycare diapers (awesome by the way).
Someone gave me their referral code and I got $10 off my first order and free shipping. After we used them we realized we wouldn't want to get our baby stuff any other way! We are Zipcar/Metro?Bus/Walking people so it is a wonderful way to get diapers, and our favorite lotions and babywash, etc. I get my breastmilk storage bags there too. Later we'll get our cloth diapering stuff with them.
You can also use this coupon code BABYORDER to get the discount. Your order has to be $49, which is quit easy when ordering diapers, as you know! The shipping is always free in that case and it arrives in 1 or 2 days, super fast.
It's unfortunate there is no available apartment/apartment search forum. I'm sure a lot of moms/families would love to look at apartments rented by other families/moms. I find some landlords unfriendly when baby and I go to meet them for an apartment viewing. Also many home-owning mamas have wonderful basement apartments for rent.
My husband, my 8 week old daughter and myself are looking for an apartment in the district. Our Adams Morgan apartment building is undergoing some dusty/unhealthy construction and we'd like to get out ASAP. A washer/dryer would be wonderful for all of the extra laundry we have now!
