That's exactly the point. Without registration, it's very hard to tell who is who. Almost anything else can be spoofed using some basic browser tools, which makes trolls impossible to ban or out without inadvertently mixing in some real people whose privacy should be protected.![]()
So are you the person who started this thread, or not? And if so, why are you engaging in the behavior you want banned?

Go for it. There is no definitive way to identify unregistered users. Some will be me, some will be others with similar footprints. I can't wait to see your poor understanding of technology erode your users' privacy.![]()
How am I doing so far? I'll pause for a bit and make sure that you still want me to go ahead with the rest of your posts. I don't want any misunderstandings or accusations that I'm doing this against your will.
You have provided me much useful information with the posts you have labeled in this thread, and the ones you haven't. I can't speak for anyone else who might be outed in this process, but I consent to a username. Game on!!![]()
I can't comment on how you are doing though because your search doesn't work. What is this about a wool sheath...?![]()
If you go to one of the troll's posts, you can see a button for "profile." If you click on that, you'll find each post and each thread. To make it easy for you, just click this:

You really have no understanding of technology. My father used to say a person who knows a little is very dangerous. I wouldn't say that you are dangerous, but you are not doing yourself any favors.

Seriously. Op is a giant prick. It's making my blood pressure skyrocket. Jeff has the patience of a saint. I'd be permanently blocking the a-hole.

Let's be honest -- The anonymity is what makes it popular, just like twitter. He can talk all day about how "difficult" it is, but my bet would be that this archaic platform is financially beneficial to him. And hey, if he's just giving people what they want?
I think usage would drop and that of course would negatively impact revenue. But, most of those arguing for registration only want it for the Political Forum which would have less impact on revenue. However, the issues I outlined are real. If it was just a matter of flipping a switch, I would flip it and then flip it back again if it didn't work out. But, it's a lot more than flipping a switch.
People who can't solve this simple issue don't deserve to have a web business.![]()
You could prove your commitment to registration by registering yourself. Or, I can make things easy by adding a username to the hundreds of posts you've already posted. Just let me know.
Oh yes, definitely add a username to the "hundreds of posts" I've posted. Better yet, block me. But are you really sure it's me? Wouldn't want to out someone innocent, you know?![]()
Just to be clear, you want me to add a username to your posts? For instance, this post discussing your search for a primary care physician?

You got me! Are there really hundreds of posts?![]()
I quickly found 291 and could possibly find more with a little effort. I add a username as soon as the football game is over.

+1
Or just block him outright.
