Any recommendations of a educational consultant to utilize to help us select schools for my 8 yo twins with Asperger's?? Even an advocate who is familiar with the schools? Desperate. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I am from Illinois and my hub is being transferred. We have identical twins (8) who have an Asperger's dx (HFA). I am a nervous wreck about moving my girls. They are currently in second grade and mainstreamed with 30 min a day of resource room time, speech and OT. What isn't helping the situation is we still don't know the exact location that he will be assigned! (Grrr!) It could be the Chantilly/South Riding area or near Lorton. I understand Fairfax and Loudon have good schools (how about PWC?) but I have found that everything is different when you deal in the areas of special needs, especially when your child is so close to "typical" it hurts. . They struggle with anxiety and making friends in addition to learning differences. They've made such great strides this year in the school and have FRIENDS. It breaks my heart to move them. Any information you can provide about specific schools in this area would be appreciated!!' Thank you so much! I am one anxious mom at the moment! thank you in advance for ANY advice!!
