Remind him of that when you tell him to give you the deposit back in full, with interest, or you'll get the county involved.

But I am in loudoun county in va, I don't think they have that law here

Virgina Landlord Tennant Act is pretty straight forward...he is in the wrong

Virginia Office of Consumer Affairs: This state agency may be able to assist with
consumer questions about obtaining a refund of a security deposit and complaints on
rental problems. In most cases, however, the VRLTA and the rental agreement specify
remedies available for such problems. Call toll-free 1-800-552-9963 or 804-786-2042.

I went to one a couple months ago and a guy totally tried to pick me up. I was talking to him---pre race--it was my first race, I was nervous, he looked like a very experienced runner (was in the fist corral, I was in a further back one) so I asked him for advice....he ended up asking me for my phone number, calling me after the race, etc. Very much "player" type behavior.

A few weeks later I had another race. The expo seemed a bit "meat market" ish to me. Lots of people "checking each other out". I know I got checked out A LOT.

I am 38. I've had many children. At the expo I was wearing leggings and a baggy sweater, not anything "sexy" at all.

Is this typical?

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is an example of what we here on DCUM call a "humble brag."

Put down the Cosmo and other girly magazines, Sexy is Fit and fit is sexy. Fit is the new skinny... Guys dig chicks that are athletic and confident, THAT is sexy. Give the OP a break, maybe meat market wasnt the right term, but someone know when they are getting checked out.

I'm a 45 yr old mom who'd best be described as skinny fat! I really think the guys who were looking at me knew that I didn't belong at such a race and we that I was so self conscious!

I would disagree with that. Most guys I know and some place in their age group are very humble. There is always someone stronger and faster out there. The hardest part is any race is getting to the starting line, you are really only competing against yourself. I find that runners are a very open and accepting goup.
Tri's on the other hand..complete douche bags..
