Hi! Don't sweat the small stuff. Freaking out so early on is not going to help your pregnancy or your relationship with your partner. Lists are good as long as they don't control your life. Enjoying this new part of your life should be the focus. Not what bottles to buy. i am a little over a week from giving birth and we just bought our baby carriage. We have a crib, clothes, will get diapers and bottle this week and that's all they really need the first few weeks, months. Good luck!
Does anyone know of a good consignment shop in DC that is exclusively for baby clothes? NY has a bunch and when I was visiting my sister, I was pleasantly surprised to shop at a fabulous consignment shop. There were tons of clothes, well-organized, all sizes and everything from carriages to bibs. Anyone know of a similar place in DC?
WOW! Moms! Thanks. The information is very, very helpful. I found Dr. Lang through a friend and she charges $40 for the consult which includes as one other mom mentioned a pre-natal office tour and you can ask questions afterwards. I have an appointment with Dr. Aziza, but it's $80 and I think I am just going to cancel it. Insurance does not reimburse for these expenses and since Dr. Lang came highly recommended and is admitted at Sibley where I will deliver, I'm going to try her! Thanks again. I love this list serve!
I am in my third trimester, actually less than three weeks from birth and I used Henna (all natural) to color my hair and it worked great! I had three OBs in three countries and the only one (in Mexico City) said it was not a problem and most women I encountered there who were pregnant said they used regular hair dye throughout their pregnancy without any problems or issues to their child. I say go Henna to be on the safe side.
