We did not hear back from the family in Oakton Glen who were moving overseas despite sending them a PM and we have taken up an apartment lease for 12 months as we needed to move quickly.

We are a family of 4 moving to Washington DC in June 2012. My husband will be commuting to Roslyn in Arlington and we want to live in the Vienna area and are keen to be in the zone for the Louise Archer School, however, still open to other suggestions. Ideally we would like to rent furnished, as we plan to return to NZ in March 2015.

Any suggestions about where to look for such a property. I have googled and scanned through Craigs List, DC apartments and looked at the DC Metro area apartments. I am open to looking at other schools and areas within Vienna metro area.

Just putting out there as someone may know someone....in this small global e-village of ours.

We are moving from NZ to Washington DC in June and we are hoping to settle in Vienna. Both of my children aged 9 and 11, have been assessed by their own school and by the NZ gifted kids programme and have clear strengths in the areas of mathematics and literacy. Through a mutual friend, I have been recommended the Louise Archer Elementary School as it has a gifted programme.

Are there other schools in Vienna that have a gifted kids programme in its curriculum and do these programmes continue into junior high school?

Also looking for 3 br (furnished) accommodation in Vienna but may start another thread for that enquiry.

Your ideas would be most welcome.
