Eggs at room temperature

| I just realized I left eggs out on the counter for about 5 hours. I just put them back in the refrigerator. I want to use them to tonight to make sugar cookies for tomorrow. Are they safe to use? I googled this but am getting differing answers. |

| They are perfectly fine. No need to worry. |

| If you are cooking them, they'll be fine. But don't eat the cookie dough. Made this mistake a couple of years ago and ended up with food poisoning (no one else in my family ate the dough or got sick). Not fun. |
