| Has anyone had any luck scheduling an induction before 39 weeks? Like during the 38th week? If so, which hospital and practice? |
| The vast majority of doctors will only do this if there is a medical reason. I am a high risk pregnancy and my doctor has not suggested scheduling an induction before 39 weeks, which should tell you something. After being induced at 40 weeks with my first I'm not in a rush to be induced with my second. An induction that occurs before your baby and body are ready can quickly turn into a c-section. |

It is HIGHLY unlikely you'll find a practice who will schedule an induction for non-medical reasons at 38 weeks. 39 is the absolute earliest they'll offer, and even then, it's for high-risk.
The only people I know who were induced at 38 weeks had pre-eclampsia. |

I was induced at Sibley at 37 weeks with Reiter Hill & Johnson, bit this was because I had developed a condition that was very dangerous for baby.
Is there a reason you want to be induced? |
| Not gonna happen unless there’s a medical reason - preeclampsia, cholestasis, etc. |
