Bluetooth for car

My car (2013 Subaru) has decided to stop allowing me to hear calls I make via bluetooth. Everything else works (music, podcasts, maps), and I can see it making the call, but I can't hear once it's connected. I've tried everything from simple (adjusting the volume on my phone and the car) to complicated (disconnecting bluetooth, forgetting the phone from the car, forgetting the car from the phone, resetting my phone's network settings), and can't get it to work.
So, my next step is to buy an external bluetooth speaker/microphone so I can still make hands free calls. Any recommendations? I think it could connect via USB or the lighter socket. Would appreciate recommendations for a bluetooth speaker/mic thing! I don't want a headset. Thank you! |
