Is anyone living in DC going so far to leave town for the upcoming anniversary, and possibly for what's planned on the 18th?
https://wtop.com/national/2021/09/ex-fbi-official-says-law-enforcement-needs-to-take-upcoming-right-wing-rally-in-dc-very-seriously/ "Law enforcement members in Washington are steeling themselves against possible unrest at the “Justice for J6” rally — planned for September 18 — which aims to support the insurrectionists charged in the riot." |
| No, I'm not turning this city over to idiots. They can piss right off. |
| We're leaving town Saturday because we're visiting family, but if the timing didn't work out best that way, we wouldn't otherwise be leaving. As for the 18th, no, definitely not leaving. I'm not afraid of a bunch of insurrectionist losers. |
| I worked downtown and stayed there all day working on the actual 9/11; I don't see why the anniversary 20 years later should make me want to flee. |

No.
Doing the WABA ride on this Saturday. Probably some other family stuff downtown on the 18th. |
| No |
| We are leaving town this 9/11. We refuse to be the victims of radical Islamic terrorism on the anniversary of 9/11. |
|
There have been 19 other 9/11 anniversaries. What makes this one different?
Without a sitting US President stoking it, the rally on the 18th will likely not amount to much. |

How much do you want to bet you lived in flyover country during the actual 9/11 and were worried the turrists were going to get you in like, Bismark? |
If you’re going to diss “flyover country” and the City of Bismarck, take some spelling lessons first. |
If you're disrupting your life to avoid a very unlikely terrorist attack (and one who you already know the perpetrators of?), you are already making yourself the victims of terrorism. |
| Nope! |
| The anxiety is killing me. I’m literally shaking right now |
Seems this was, as anyone could easily have foreseen, a completely unnecessary overreaction. You missed absolutely perfect weather here. |
