I am looking at one for a friend and I am surprised by the listings. Over 2k for most of the things requested. And they are decorative pieces.
Really?
|
| Maybe they really just want cash for gifts and are hoping a crazy registry will lead to that outcome? |
| They get a discount on things not bought from their registry. Also I've been to weddings/showers where friends or younger family members buy a more expensive group gift. |
| Yikes OP. That's super crazy.....Are they this needy and entitled in real life? |
Which is why you have two registries. A private one unlisted and a public one.
|
Decorative home items that cost thousands decorative china for over $500 a piece Actually listed.
|
| They can put whatever they want on their registry. And you can buy them whatever you want, or nothing. It's ok, really. |
I find it tacky. |
| Putting it on your registry implies that you think it is appropriate for a guest to buy it and give to you. The guests may have a slightly different view! |
| Link!! I love a good rich person registry. I saw one with 12 place settings of Hermès China once. |
| Tacky. You should do a range of prices. |
| Oooh their friends & fam are loaded. Clearly the items weren't targeted to you, OP. |
| The ones I've seen like that are rich people with rich families. They don't want a bunch of Crate and Barrel in their houses, so why would they put it on a registry? Usually, they also have very limited registries and people get them gifts off registry. |
| Any silver bowls on the list? |
Glass Bowls, maybe. |
