It’s haunted and possibly vermin-infested AND the service is subpar for even a Microtel. There’s dust and cobwebs in the corners of the rooms and the whole place is just falling apart.
10/10 do not recommend. |
| What’s this about haunted? |
As soon as I walked in yesterday afternoon, I could feel a presence. Bad energies! I know DCUM will ridicule me for saying this, but in my room there was a constant scraping/scratching sound coming from the entertainment center - for HOURS. While watching TV one of those vertical color block error pictures kept flashing. Then in the bathroom, where the doors were closed and the window was shut, I heard what sounded like the toilet seat being put down. |
| Nah - I have stayed there many times and no ghosts. Now the Boulderado in Boulder, CO - definitely haunted! |
Umkay… |
Sounds more like a technical glitch coming from the entertainment set-up. If it happens again, you can turn the whole thing off and unplug it. When you're not in your own home, there will be a few noises you cannot initially place, but that doesn't mean you need to jump to paranormal explanations. If you saw cobwebs or dust, I believe you! There is a known issue with hotels/rentals and housekeeping scarcity, even at the higher end of the market, because of the pandemic. It's across the board, and if you stayed in clean places prior to this stay, then you're lucky. |
| Haunted? That’s a benefit, not a con. |

Possibly vermin infested? Interesting, OP. Unless you have evidence, that could be construed as libel

| We've stayed there many times and never experienced anything supernatural (although it would have been pretty cool if we did!). Our stays were pre-Covid so I cannot speak to service or cleanliness issues but we never had a problem pre-Covid. Just about every hotel is short staffed so I'm not surprised you experienced slower service and found a few cobwebs Also, it is an historic property surrounds by woods - I'm not all surprised that you found cobwebs. |
