Looking to book now for next year, but undecided where!

Consider OCNJ, a great family beach town. ( not the same as OC MD, totally different vibe).

Look at Fox realty or Berger realty for home rentals

I went to oc, Bethany and Rehoboth this summer. I’m just over it. I might go to Avalon next summer, but really, I just want to be at a resort on a beach.

Avalon, so overrated. Don't waste your money. There are so many better choices.

We went to Fenwick this year. It's nice. Not nearly as crowded as OC. Very family-friendly.

Where? Not interested in obx or Hilton head.

This is how I feel too. Nothing against the mid Atlantic beaches - the beaches themselves are fine, I just don’t want to do the “rent a house and go grocery shopping” thing any more. The packing and unpacking etc it’s all just exhausting. And not cheap! Our half of the house we split with our friends was $3500 before food or anything else.

This spent about $10k for a week in OC. If I feel comfortable flying next year, I’m going to feel much better spending $1000 a night at a resort.

We’ve always enjoyed the oceanfront condos in Sea Colony in Bethany (the nicely updated units, at least). I know a lot of people on here sneer at it, but we love the convenience of having pools and tennis on site, and the views are great. Also nice to be able to walk to downtown Bethany for meals or ice cream.

We are Sea Colony fans too (although on the West Side.) I know a lot of people here look down on it, but we find staying on the West Side to be quite relaxing. Tennis and pools on site, just a quiet environment, our balcony overlooks one of the "lakes"/ponds, short bike ride to the beach, bike into town. Our main mode of transportation is biking.

OCMD is great if you want to get ideas for your next tattoo.

We often rent a condo in Sandbridge and it works for us. My kids are young though, it might not be as well suited for teens because there’s really not much to do other than beach/pool. But it’s closer than OBX with similar beaches and I like the less built up places.

Same that’s not a vacation. Plus I don’t like the surf. Much prefer calm waters.

I get this; it sometimes feels like a relocation rather than a vacation. And it is expensive for the quality of house you get. But I hate staying in a hotel with kids.
