Why would pregnant women we on the ttc thread? i just think this is kind of strange

I am the last poster asking if the thread is legit....

I emailed Jeff to ask him about it, but am curious to see if anyone else thinks it's weird or if it's just me

It appears that one of the "success" stories was posted by the original poster. I don't know if that is persuasive evidence of sock puppetting, but it seems a little weird.

No idea about the sock puppeting, but I see nothing strange about a pregnant woman posting a response to a TTC thread. My family is complete, and I still check TTC from time to time in case there is any advice or experience I can share from our years IF. I'm sure others do the same.

For me it was weird to hear about so many success stories. I have been reading the forums at TCOYF and haven't heard of this, and they are pretty hard core about anything that will help you get pg.
It just seems odd to have so many success stories posted within such a short timeframe....

I agree that there is nothing strange about a pregnant woman posting a response to a TTC thread. But, don't you think it is a little weird for someone to post a query about whether anyone has used a particular fertility product and then to post a follow-up saying that she used that exact product to get pregnant?

OP again.

I do agree that a pg woman posting is not weird. What was weird for me was that 2 women posted so close together with 3 success stories between the 2 of them.... And one who had just got pregnant using it!!! Especially since I have never read on this in any other forum, like I said for ex the TCOYF...
I posted a question about clomid to that forum a couple days ago, which I am sure a lot of women there in that forum use, and didn't get that many responses, yet this weird product gets 2 responses within hours? It was just strange to me...

exactly, that thread was totally manufactured to generate interest in their product. sounds like a phony thread to me.
